Not to brag or anything, but my grandma turned 101 on October 4, 2002. Yup, that's right, she was born in 1901.

We had a little gathering at a local church, family members only. Of course, with a family like mine, that's a whole lot of people. I tried to get everyone, but obviously was not able to succeed in that attempt. Plus it was in the church basement, so the lighting is a little off in the photos.

Ok, Grandma had five kids. My dad is the oldest. Then there's Miyuki, Reyko, Nami and Danny. My parents had just my brother and myself. Uncle Bill and Auntie Nami have three kids. Doug, Chris and Mia. Doug was briefly married and had Alyssa. Chris married Chica, don't think I got them in any photos, and they had Andy. Mia married Gaylor and had Sophia, who's a little cutie right now. Uncle Danny and Auntie Julianne had two kids, Lisa (my perfect cousin, for those of you in the know) and Kelly.

Auntie Miyuki and Uncle Tex had three kids, Steve, Kenny and Teri Sue. She also got married first so her kids are a generation older than me, as the youngest cousin. Steve married Peggy and they had three kids: Jennifer, Stephanie and Brian.

Jennifer married a firefighter, Jamie, and had two kids: Mikayla and Alexis, the latter pictured here. Jennifer's a year or two younger than I am, just for the record. Yikes. That's Auntie Miyuki in the bottom left corner there, and Peggy in the top right. Kenny married Debbie and they had a little boy named BJ, who's probably in high school now. Just kidding, but maybe he is. Teri Sue married Ron and they had Jamie and Sean (girl and boy, respectively).

Uncle Joe and Auntie Reyko had three kids. Dave, married to Barbara; Bobby, married to Carole and they had Kyle and Matthew; and Joanie who married Robert and had Ariel and Bradley. I tried to make a family tree in Photoshop, but it was just too difficult since I really don't know how to use Photoshop. Yeah, that's next on my list to learn.

Happy Birthday, Grandma.
