I went home to Portland, Oregon on September 7th. I planned to return on the 15th, but due to the disaster my trip was unexpectly extended until the 19th. I did a lot of shopping, I went down to the coast, I hit some of my favorite haunts, and I made it to the Zoo finally. And I saw some old and new friends. I didn't have enough time, even with the extension, and there were lots of people I didn't get to see. I did feel a lot more relaxed and refreshed afterwards, so I count it as a good vacation.
