Well, it was a little arduous getting to the zoo, as well as being rather HOT, and we sorta lost track of everyone we were supposed to meet. Emily and I finally connected, almost an hour past the designated time, thanks to lots of cell phone calls and some help with directions. But once we were there it was completely worth it, especially since most things were free! And what wasn't free was given at a discount! Sometimes it really is sweet being a volunteer...
Here's the snow leopard baby! His first day on exhibit was only the Thursday before, but he acted like an old pro and came right up to the glass, which had about 50 zealous fans on the other side within seconds, luckily I was one of the first, and so was my camera!

| Here he is directly on the other side, narrowing his eyes due to my flash! | He turned around a bit, towards his mom, then stuck out his tongue (not at her though). |

| Then he came back towards the crowd. | And got up close and personal! | ![]() |

| And then he wedged himself behind these rocks for some reason, and stayed there. | The mom, I think, of the adorable baby. I see where he gets his looks. |

| Then we ran into a huge photo as we were leaving and Emily wanted...well, I'm not quite sure what she wanted. | A flock of flamigos by the main eatery, with a slightly blurry great white egret in the back. | |

| This polar bear raised his head from his nap, just for me I'm sure. | The other one didn't even bother to open his eyes. | |
|
| This bear was pawing something while soaking. | And this one was doing what I wished I was! |
