Today I got a ton of photos of the Madagascar Day Geckos, they're about 7 or 8 inches long I would guess, and are all over the Aviary. The keeper estimates about 30, and this is the first time he's ever spoken to me, so I guess he shares my enthusiasm for them. That or he really liked my digicam since he had his with him.

The one on the left is the female, she's a little darker than the male, but I was experimenting with the exposure so she's a little washed out. The male is bright vibrant green, this is actually pretty close to his true color, and with the coolest red markings. The keeper had just released crickets for them and they were scurrying up and down their tree to snatch them up.

These are both tanagers, the one on the left is the bay headed tanager, for obvious reasons. The one on the right is a paradise tanager. They are amazingly colored, as you can see, the paradise ones especially. I couldn't get another angle because it flew off, but they also have a bright red patch on their backs. Needless to say they are very eye-catching.
Ok, where's the red panda in this picture? He was so cute with just his
head sticking out from the tree. I took about five photos of him. And it's not just because
he's cute as the dickens. Really it's not. I tried to get a few other
photos when he was walking around, because that happens so rarely.
Unfortunately, I was too slow so I just got a bunch of pictures of his
body with his head behind a tree or a log.
