This is classic sea lion behavior,
while they are waiting for their keepers to come feed them. This sort of
peering over the edge of their pool really excites the kids who come to
watch and who can blame them? It's pretty darn cute I think. There's
something about the way they look, so hopeful, and the way they weave
back and forth to search through the crowd for any sign of their
keepers. They're just so excited, I guess that's why the kids get all
excited too.
After this weeks' feeding (which
Justin did with great aplomb...or something), these two were lounging near
each other and giving interesting looks. I'm not sure what sort of
communication was going on, but it certainly looked like they were saying
something to each other without words.
