The animals are
receiving gifts for the holidays for
the next few weekends. The tamarins got boxes with food inside of them.
This golden lion headed tamarin was staring at the cottontop tamarins getting
their gifts in the next exhibit. I love the tamarins, they are tiny things,
no bigger than my two hands probably, and they have such interesting faces.
I didn't see these guys with their boxes, but the cottontops were fully
enjoying theirs. They were great to watch. Unfortunately,
those photos didn't come out as well. Sorry.
I love that the presents are
fully wrapped with holiday paper. The two cottontops had different methods.
One of them ripped the whole thing apart, even eating parts of the cardboard and paper
before spitting it out. The other opened a small hole and waited for the
"food" to emerge. Even the keepers were getting a kick out of watching them.
