This is my totally unintentional photo of a bat going for batfood in a pumpkin (lit by green glowstick). The food made the pumpkins look like they were throwing up, and it was even cooler when the bats flew into the pumpkin's eyes or mouth to get at the food. It was a perfect creepy Halloween effect!

Halloween, or what passes for it, at the Zoo meant tons of the little orange things for the animals, some of them quite fancily carved. The snow monkeys ate theirs, the polar bears destroyed theirs, the red panda seemed afraid of his, the bats flew into theirs, and I'm not quite sure what the ants did with theirs.
This little tanager had no idea what to make of its seasonal toy.

Here's the Manny series, sorry most of them are out of focus, but Manny moves like lightning, and my camera was at top digital zoom, making things a little grainy.
These are the Ant photos. For some reason Emily's ant had a british accent (making her a leaf-cutter aunt) and liked to dance. Justin's ant was more of the attacking and photo op sort.
And this is the Gus and pumpkin series. That is Gus, isn't it?
Again, I apologize for any out of focus or just plain bad photos. I am not a good photographer, but I think I am learning. Next lesson is how to shoot mini-movies.
